YOU. yes, YOU, should make a website. it doesnt have to be pretty, it doesnt have to be efficient, it doesnt have to be complicated, it just has to be YOURS. html isnt programming so dont be intimidated, if youve ever written markdown on discord or reddit or github then YOU CAN MAKE A WEBSITE!! throw together a black text on white background page with some images and links for all i care, just have a place to call YOUR OWN

there are plenty of resources like w3schools and mdn. you dont even need to buy a domain or pay for hosting, there are plenty of services that will host your site for you with a free subdomain like nekoweb and neocities (you could also just host it at home!). you can even easily add functionality with widgetstar and get a guestbook with atabook. theres even programs and websites that will parse markdown into html if thats more comfortable for you. ALL OF THIS IS FREE and will never be governed by an algorithm, age verification, or arbitrary ever changing rules. in the worst case scenario your host could ban you, but in such a situation just take your files and GO ELSEWHERE!!

a website of your own is your chance to have a place that anyone in the world can type into their browser to visit, for sharing things about yourself, other places on the web that you frequent, things youve made, or just shit you think is awesome. so get out there, open your favourite text editor, and start throwing down some basic html!! if you need help you can literally just ask me or anyone, a lot of people (maybe even you!) did some html in school, this is not a niche skill, theres plenty of help out there, and you can learn it too!!
